The bullet expansion material used in the Bullet Test Tubes and Xtenders has a flashpoint and should never be heated above 185 degrees Fahrenheit and it should never be heated with a direct flame. To liquefy, the expansion material inside the Bullet Test Tube and Xtenders much reach a temperature of 170 to 175 degrees. If the material comes into contact with your skin or eyes it can burn. To recast or melt and mold the bullet expansion material inside the Bullet Test Tube all you will need are molds, a melting pot and a small measuring cup with a handle. Molds are available directly from Ballistic Technology and for a melting pot, most any crock pot will do. We recommend the PRESTO Kitchen Kettle. They are widely available and sell for less than $ 25.00. Regardless of what melting pot you select, it should have a minimum capacity of 1.5 gallons.
